Kinesiology is an invaluable complementary health tool which works well with all other healing modalities and works in harmony with the current medical model of health care.It assesses areas of imbalance to get to the root of the problem and restore wellness.  It can assist in healing the body in many ways

                        Muscle Testing
      the Body’s BIO-FEEDBACK Computer

The essential art of Kinesiology includes muscle testing.  This technique relies on the way your muscles are connected to your brain via your nervous system.  Anything that registers in your brain as a stress is reflected in your nervous system and in your muscles.

STRESS registers in the brain and is reflected back in the NERVOUS SYSTEM and on to the MUSCLE which then switches off or UNLOCKS. An unlocking muscle INDICATES IMBALANCE and WHEREVER IMBALANCE is revealed a correction is required.

The corrections are then applied and the mind / body comes into balance & the healing takes place.

Take a Holistic Approach to Your Health

The main thing Kinesiology does is to provide a stimulus to the brain and energy systems so a “Release” or a “Falling Away” of an issue can be completed. Because the issue causing the symptoms has now “Fallen Away”, the symptoms can then disappear completely.

Let go of old beliefs ……..Never Underestimate Your Ability to Heal

Quite a statement isn't it but Holistic healing is not a new concept. As a  Kinesiology practitioner I also work holistically. The power of the work I do is astonishing and because it involves each person's individual neurology, the total 'Being' of a  person, the mind, the physical body and the attached emotions are all treated together resulting in very positive healing experience. Kinesiology helps one access the inner knowing and find again the power of choice in one’s life

Brief history of Kinesiology.

The history of kinesiology as we know it in the western world goes back to the early 60’s.  A chiropractor in the USA, George Goodheart was using muscle testing in his clinic.  He observed that rubbing tender nodules on the attachment points of dysfunctional muscles improved both postural balance and the outcome of the muscle tests.  Dr Goodheart got together a group of like-minded people and they researched and developed Dr. Goodheart’s findings. They created what is today called ‘Applied Kinesiology’ (AP).  Chiropractors and other medical professionals use AP. It is mainly being used as a tool for diagnoses and to determine further treatment.

In 1974 Dr John Thie – also a chiropractor, who was part of the group that Dr. Goodheart got together 10 years earlier – published a book called “Touch for Health”.  Dr. Thie believed it was important that the general public learned to use muscle testing and to use kinesiology as a healing tool.

Kinesiology has now grown into a remarkable healthcare modality.  It is being studied and researched around the world.  It has developed rapidly and there are now many different directions and variations of kinesiology.
